...the original intent was to shut down an infiltration by dishonest people who are trying very hard to make trouble at the convention.

That does make sense. When I first heard about it I thought it was kind of snarky on Romney's part, but if Romney was really going after the Tea Party types he never would have selected Ryan.

Surely, you don't believe that! You are NOT seeing the devil in the details. It's OBVIOUS, yet some can't see it and haven't through this whole campaign!

Ryan’s selection was to gain conservative support and it did. I don’t know why the RNC couldn’t have figured out a way to help The Ron Paul supporters feel somewhat placated. The RNC didn’t even announce the Ron Paul votes from the platform. Now that was dumb. Romney could very well lose because of these blunders. I thought they deserved to lose with their Romney support from the beginning. It seems like a power struggle is more important than wise government. I do believe the RNC deserves a kick in the pants. I will still vote for local and Congressional candidates, and I think Ron Paul is slightly senile and am not a supporter, I just don’tlike the RNC anti grassroots attitude. It is not only UnAmerican it is unRepublican.
