Another tells me, “They’ve gotten social conservatives comfortable with the platform and now that they’re placated [Team Romney] is going to undercut them with this change.”

It's not over!! Romney is trying to give us the go around

Is this cat fully out of the bag now for everyone to see? Will anyone still disagree and claim there is no GOPe faction working inside the GOP? Anyone?

Personally, I’ve given up on the Republican establishment.

I’d be voting 3rd party if we had a 3rd party candidate who had even a small chance to win. As it is, I’ll be holding my nose and voting for Romney. Unfortunately the RINO establishment knows that, and takes people like me for granted.

I’ll be voting AGAINST Obama, not FOR Romney. I don’t think we can survive 4 more years of Obama. At least with Romney we have a chance to buy some time. We need to use that time, if we get it, to build a viable alternative to the Republican establishment.

If Obama wins I suggest a crash course in alternative investments. Things like food and lead (if it’s not too late already). Of course, Obama’s domestic army (aka: “Homeland Security”) will try to take these things away.

No.

Effing.

Way.

I.

Vote.

Romney.

F*** it. Burn the country to the ground, then. Obama for FOUR MORE YEARS. Let's just go full-on communist, rather than socialist by the teaspoon.

Romney Camp Removing Rules Committee Members

By Michael Duncan on August 28, 2012
I just got off the phone with a concerned Florida activist, Laura Noble, who informed me that both of Florida’s Rules Committee members, Peter Feaman and Kathleen King, have been removed from the Rules committee and replaced with Romney-appointed delegates.

Clearly anticipating a grassroots backlash against the “compromise” on Rule 15 and the changes on Rule 12 has caused the Romney camp to preemptively replace delegates to ensure they have support on the Rules Committee.

At least McCain was man enough to stand up and call us hobbits in public. After they’re done with me will they respect me in the morning.

"The second rules change would front load winner takes all primaries. Grassroots conservatives point to both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum as reasons to stop this rule. Had there been front loaded winner takes all primaries, neither the Gingrich nor the Santorum campaigns would have been able to get any traction."

Santorum won 11 states with perfectly-timed momentum. He had every chance under the old and proposed new rules. What crippled him and Gingrich was the Freetard-like genius who thought a 5-conservative free-for-all this past primary season would produce a conservative candidate.

A little over 12,000 more votes in Ohio under the proposed new rules and this might be Rick's convention.

But you Freetards keep on bitchin' on...free entertainment before the convention floor show...

They are going to point to Akins as the excuse for these rules changes.

I am glad that Romney is showing his butt before it is too late. You guys have been in this dream fantasy of conservative Romney who I and a few others told you it was not true. He is the clone of Obama through and through and this proves it again. Can we NOW ONCE AND FOR ALL KICK HIM TO THE CURB?????

Romney stabbing the foundational support for the party in the back. Where are all these “oh we gotta vote Romney” types now. Tossing the Tea Party under the bus with Romney now are they?

JR has been right along- no RINOS.

It’s enough to make your blood boil. Please call your state’s Rules Committee delegates here and ask that they oppose the “compromise” on Rule 15, oppose the changes to Rule 12, and support the full Minority Reports on the Rules.

UPDATE: Delegations we should be focusing on include the following states: North Carolina, Oregon, Indiana, Ohio, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, and West Virginia.

And if we, the grassroots, are not able to fight romney now when he is not even the nominee, how in the world are we going to hold his feet to the fire when he will be president??? No guts party, even us. We are already giving up. The guy is not even the nominee and he is already using his power grab and we are already giving up the fight.

What a sad state of affair the American Spirit has become. Can't wait for a 3rd party run by Sarah Palin. At least SHE has the guts to speak out against those power grabbers!!!

Almost 4 years fighting for conservatism and constitutional principlies I am ready for the 3rd party. My group has tried to work in the party but they are corrupt. Greed and crony capitalism is what they care about. they have sold our country to the globalist.I will not vote for Romney/Ryan. Maybe the RINOS need to see what Obama will do along with globalist in our party.

It's one thing I hate about conventions. To the GOPe wonks it looks like a clever ploy and a brilliant maneuver. That it serves to pull the rug out from under everything their boss got from conservatives from naming Ryan doesn't seem to register.

These are the people who are holding our country hostage against defection to a third party with the 0bama threat, which is a legitimate threat just as a kidnapper's gun to his victim is a legitimate threat. They never learn, they never get it, and they walk away from every defeat with the conviction intact that they're smarter than everyone else.
