Keep getting bigger.
Unusual.
Years ago I read that there were boiling mud pots, similar to those in Yellowstone Park, that were covered when the Salton Sea was formed by the break through of the Colorado River back in the early 1900s.
Sorry “geological” should have been geologic.
I does seem like a sizable swarm to me. A little worrisome.
Make that 94 shakes now. Finally reloaded.
WOW!’
Ping!!
Are you in SD right now??
Just checking on you.
Are you paying any attention to what is going on in your state?
Is the “Hammer of Eden” back?
If CA does suddenly become a seabed.......w/o all those democrat votes anymore, Obamer is toast....Hate to say it CA Freepers, but I am praying for the big one.Ohio? I'm pretty sure Ohio had a roll in giving us Obama...
Be careful what you wish on others, hypocrite.

Took 47 posts, but someone had to say it.
Bravo!
Yes/No. Heads up in either case...

Ditto
I remember a few years back, some stories of how the government had drilled down and planted explosives around Yellowstone, and were going to set it off and trigger a world calamity for the one world government take over.
In reality, this is Obamas "October" surprise. He's going to set off some volcanoes in S Kalifornicate, decimate the Salton Sea, enact martial law and suspend the election.
Hows that?
Magma rising in a rift area like Brawley certainly makes sense. The quakes are from some 9.7 miles to a couple hundred feet in depth. You would have to suspect the magma pool is fairly shallow. It doesn’t guarantee any eruption but this is very similar in pattern to some areas the great rift valley in Africa. Also, the Clear Lake region in Northern California has frequent quake swarms (nothing as dramatic as this, though).
Well, southern CA has had other earthquake swarms too (the recent series around Yorba Linda comes to mind)....but not like this.
Earthquake Report is now listing this as “moderately dangerous.”
