Maybe Akin’s stubbornness will thaw. We can only hope!

I live in Missouri. I went to a youth's soccer game yesterday, the drive was approximately 25 miles round trip. I looked for Akin signs, fully expecting all his supporters out there doing their part to get him elected. I saw only two signs. I did see a candidate for local office out with his kids putting up his own signs...

I think this is all hot air blowing on the internet about the depth of support Akin has.

Oh, I must add, I will vote for Akin. But the subject of Akin sure never came up with the soccer parents/relatives. Overwhelming majority were Catholics in attendance. I did not take a poll, but, based upon what I was told about the soccer game and who was playing, and my best guess, there were only 3 non-Catholics in attendance.

Yeah, his stubbornness will thaw. On the Friday before election day, he`ll announce God told him over lunch that it`s time to drop out.

He`ll add, “It`s been such a great run and I want to thank the dozens across the great state of Missouri who have supported this campaign.”

The Akin Campaign is being run by his own family, his wife and children. It has a cult-like feel to it. This guy is getting messages from God that he must stay in and fight for “principle”.

Six more years of Claire, unless we can get a popular write-in candidate like Kit Bond, or James Talent.
