What on God’s Green Earth does that have to do with anything? Why do you think the relative likelihood of a rape victim conceiving is important to know in the discussion about an abortion exception for rape?

Exactly. Instead of simply coming out and saying that he supports the sanctity of life no matter what, he instead bungles the question by diverting to something that does not relay that 'choose life' message. And this is supposed to be his core issue? If he can't handle this common question that has been well-rehearsed in the minds of every pro-life supporter, then what can he handle?

Bottom line: Akin is unelectable. We can either replace him and regain the ten-point advantage we had before with the generic Republican. Or we can stay the course with Akin while we reflect on how to beat Sen. McCaskill in 2018.
