It is illegal to feed vegetables to pigs if the animals are going to be sold to consumers in Missouri.

Good grief! Pigs are walking garbage disposals.

As long as you're not feeding them toxic waste, what bloody difference does it make?

The law was written to prevent the spread of the disease, which was eradicated in the U.S. in 1959, according to the Merck Veterinary Manual.”

In other words, the law was written to prevent the feeding of ‘toxic waste’ as you put it.
