I have seen many presidential campaigns. So far the Obama re-election campaign appears very odd to me.

The Obama ads, including this one, don’t seem directed to voters who may be favoring Romney/Ryan or even to undecided voters. Instead they appear to be directed to persons already in the Obama loop, giving the appearance of a guy leaning on a light post talking to himself.

I don’t understand the philosophy behind this approach, but I hope they do a lot more of it.

I think the Obama campaign has written off so many segments of the voting public that they're down to adverstising to the segments they still have in hand...and hoping for a 120% turnout.

As it stands, Obama's got:

Hollywood
The ghettos and barrios
The faculty lounges
The newsrooms
And the bath houses...

And Romney's got everybody else.
