It's more affected by the gazillions that weren't born, because women have simply refused to stay barefoot and pregnant. It's also affected by the closed borders and the gazillions that would otherwise be frolicing around la-di-da and producing all sorts of joyous fruits. If not for these population effects, blessed suffering would flourish and be enjoyed throughout the land.
A petri dish full of embryos is not a pool of people. The parents can choose one that they intend will become their child.
The cells in the following are also not people.

By combining expression of the three conversion factors with expression of two genes involved in dopamine neuron generation, Lmx1a and FoxA2, we could direct the phenotype of the converted cells toward dopaminergic neurons. Such subtype-specific induced neurons derived from human somatic cells could be valuable for disease modeling and cell replacement therapy."
