Todd Akin is MORE conservative than Mittens by a long shot. Akin has an A rating with the National Rifle Assoc; a 100% rating with the American Conservative Union; fought Mel Carnahan tooth and nail over no state funding for abortions in MO; voted for the Ryan Fiscal Plan. Akin has NOT caved on his principles ..can you say the same for many other republicans? Blunt wants him out but Blunt voted for the freddie mac and fannie mae bailouts. Akin has a conservative voting record and is exactly the type of senator I want representing me in Washington. He apologized..he made an inane comment. Many great leaders have done the same...I say hang in their Akin. It is rare to have a true conservative run these days and God knows we need them. Screw the GOP E!

I hope the “20 pieces of silver” he received from the opposition are worth it to his miserable self!

Sounds like this career politician feels like the political world just can't survive without him. He must feel he is just SO important, that Missouri, and the USA, can't function without him and that everybody loves him . pfffffftt , what a joke.

This 65 year old , 12 term politician needs to step aside, and let some other conservative have a turn.

If Ikin has decided to stay in the race, then I will be praying that the people of Missouri vote for him instead of the alternative which would be throwing away the senate.

If you are pro-life and live in Missouri, I see no alternative for you than to vote for Akin no matter what the Republican establishment says.

Vote your conscience and let the chips fall as they may. If Missouri is a predominantly Christian state (which I believe you are) then Akin will beat McCaskill. If not, then the individuals who voted for him can have a clear conscience, and the rest of them can have hot coals heaped on their heads for letting an evil person like Claire McCaskill take your state to hell.

Just like NOT voting for Romney in the presidential election is a vote for Obama, the same is true for Missouri. A no-vote or write-in or 3rd party vote is a vote for McCaskill.

We had four great candidates for our Senate primary here in Wisconsin. I wanted ANY ONE of them other than Tommy Thompson. Guess what? Tommy won. I now have a Tommy Thompson for Senator on my lawn next to my ROMNEY/RYAN sign. I will do anything to help Tommy beat the evil Tammy Baldwin (who is LEFT of Nancy Pelosi) win that seat. Tammy has HUGE LGBT groups backing her hoping to make her the first openly gay U.S. women senator. Over my dead body. I will crawl over broken glas to help Tommy win. And then hopefully the Tea Party candidates can get in slowly over the next 2 to 6 years.

Don’t throw away the entire Senate because of stubbornness. Swallow your pride, and take baby steps to help take back Missour and the U.S.A.
