Hope all the Akin defenders enjoy the quality of treatment they get under Obamacare. This absurd petulance and selfishness may cost us any chance at repeal.
“We’re here through November and we’re here to win”
Good look with that, Todd.
No money and treated like a leper by every other GOP running for office.
You are a loser who will be documented as such in November. You may have the distinction of being one of the few candidates to have negative coattails up ticket.
NAW. By November, this will be a distant memory.
As hard as it is to see now during the present hysteria, MO is a solid red state now and will come through for Romney by +10 and perhaps +2 for Akin.
Real conservatives will now stop the carping and get behind Akin, or else we are guaranteed to have six more years of McCaskill.
Im voting for Akin - youll just split the vote
And that is what the Pro-Abort Liberals exactly want.
(Notice how they all crawled out of the woodwork once Conservative Akin supporters started posting on this thread...)
He’s staying. Either support him or help Obama. Thats what the ABOs said about Romney and now it applies here. No difference.
If ‘we’ have to suck it up, so do you.
Todd Akin = Doofus
I think it's too late for that to work; we need, instead, to figure out where else we can pick up a seat. Write this one off, and hope and pray the Huckleberrys don't screw up Romney's chances.
Nor impressed at all but I’ll be hoping he can beat McRatskill. I heard enough too, onyx.
We shall see what we shall see
CNN, MSNBC, Fox -— only MSNBC covered Akin’s presser-— and only for the few seconds he took to say he was staying in the race. After that announcement, they immediately cut away.
Correctamundo! If Akin is incapable of expressing himself on his core issue without screwing up, then he is simply a poor candidate. The part that gets me is how easily he fumbled the question. Instead of just coming out and saying "I support the sanctity of life no matter what", he tries to justify it by saying "oh well, it really doesn't matter since you can't get pregnant from getting raped". He didn't even have the courage to make a stand and voice his support for life.
This was the one seat that the GOP had a lock on picking up. But thanks to his Democrat supporters, Akin has screwed us over like Clinton screwed ____________. (Fill in the blank)
Amen Brother. The more I see him misquoted and lampooned, the more I am inclined to say “stick it to them.” Basically the victim of a high-tech lynching.
True conservatives will hold their noses and vote for him. However, for most of those voters it will be one of the biggest secrets of their lives. That is not a way to win though. It is a way to lose.
He can say nothing between now and the election to persuade any of those 48% who told Rasmussen they are voting for the dumb broad to change their mind and work for Akin.

I think you’re right. After 2 years of the Commie in Chief I was so desparate for a win I even contributed money to Scott Brown in 2010. If I did that, I can certainly contribute to Akin. Akin made a real screw-up, but it pales in comparison to letting ObamaClair back in without a fight.
Even a week is an eternity in politics.
McCaskill is just as likely to say something dumb or suffer a revelation of misconduct between now and Nov.
Wrong, he would have won except for his most crazy statement.
He is toast.
Looks like were stuck with McCaskill through 2018.
This place is starting to remind me of France.
