Thanks a lot Akin. Happy now? How dos the re-election of Obama and McCaskill further the conservative cause?

That said, hard to believe MO voters are this stupid. Since Akin said something totally stupid about one issue, they now support Barack Obama and Obamacare? This country is doomed if voters are this stupid.

It’s not that MO voters suddenly turned to Obama. It’s that Republicans/right-leaning Independents are so disgusted by Akin that they stay home.

This guy is a boil that will only continue to grow the fester the longer he stays in the race. Please, SOMEONE get the long knives out for Akin!

It’s not that, per se; however, the Democrats and the bulk of the media will relentlessly hammer home the theme that the GOP as a party, is an American, Christianized version of the Taliban. In other words, ignorant fanatics.

And they will echo that theme ad infinitum between now and election day.

Well they voted in a dead guy in MO, so what does that tell you?

They also elected Clare McBrainless in the first place because doing so would cure Michael J Fox and make Christopher Reeve walk again. You'd think by now they would have learned, but obviously that's not the case.

Not too long ago, Larry Sabato had declared that Missouri, like Arizona, was probably no longer a possibility for President Obama to win. Now it is beginning to look like a tossup state again.

This is precisely why I wish that Rep. Akin would heed the urgings of others, and exit this Senate race--immediately, if not sooner...
