Bond is 73. He looked "tired" when he stepped down in 20120. And that is not a cut. Many have so stated. I just do not think he wants it.

Ann Wagner, while faced with personal tragedies would end the "rape issue" once and for all. At least in MO. And that is where it counts. Ditto for Sarah Steelman. I do think we need a woman. A conservative woman!

But all this assumes Akin will jump through all the hoops and get his name off the ballot successfully. The military overseas ballots go out less than a month from now and the majority of those would vote Republican. We need their votes!!!

Choice of Steelman would anger Brunner voters and vice versa, unfortunately, and the Democratic operatives like those stoking the flames of this one would exploit it.

If you were Ann Wagner's husband would you sacrifice a given Congressional seat, a sure thing that you don't have to fight for, for a fight with a seasoned political critter with no guarantee of success????
