I’m just sitting here in utter amazement colossal political ignorance and stupidity of the pro Akin crowd. He cannot win, period. It doesn’t matter what a good guy he is, how pro life he is and has been, or what a faithful conservative legislator he has proven to me. He can’t win. Did I mention that he can’t win. Any competent political professional will tell you the same thing. Failing to recognize this unfortunate circumstance is to pretend that the problem does not exist. WE have to do something about it. We can persuade him to leave the race, replace him with a good, solid conservative candidate, and sail to victory in November. Or we can lose to McCaskill. Most reasonable conservatives understand this. Some don’t.
They Re flakes ready to commit mass suicide for the cause.
The MSM has once again shown its power to influence GOP behavior. Every Rep candidate will have to walk on eggshells for fear of making a politically incorrect or stupid statement, especially if it involves women, race, gays, or ethnicity. Self-censorship is the worst censorship of all. The GOP reaction to Akin just reinforces the MSM's control over the GOP. Akin will not be the last Rep sacrificed to the MSM and the Dems. And he certainly wasn't the first. In the meantime, the Dems can say and do anything they want without consequence. Sometimes it is better to stand up to a bully, rather than cower and give him your lunch money.
If he can’t win, then pick a replacement who can and name him or her.
“Im just sitting here in utter amazement colossal political ignorance and stupidity of the pro Akin crowd.”
Truer words have never been spoken.
Suck it up and answer it.
What possible evidence do you have to support that contention? This is the last gasp of the GOP establishment -- squishy John Danforth Republicans who think we should be quiet about conservatism if we're even conservative at all.
GOP really seems intent on proving it's the Stupid Party -- throwing conservatives to the wolves every time MSNBC squeals. Great idea.
