As the controversy over Republican Senate candidate Todd Akins legitimate rape comment continues, Mitt Romneys lead in Missouri has vanished.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Missouri Voters finds President Obama with 47% support to Romneys 46%. Three percent (3%) favor some other candidate in the race, and three percent (3%) more are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

I’m so made at this right now.
Akin and his cult of “purists” and lemmings are going to take us all down due to their delusional purity bs.
Yes, what you said. Akin needs to go!!
But him stay and fight I say.....not
and take Mike Huckabee with you
The only people attacking Akin are Republicans — we eat our own. Akin can still get off the ballot, but he can’t be replaced — assume all of you naysayers would rather McCaskill run unopposed?
FUTA.
Time to call the GOP and start a movement to kick Akin out of the party. Let him become an independent.
Akin must be being paid for this. .
Well that’s it. The guy needs to go.
This one singular human being could make the election results and construction of the government be exactly what they are today.
Executive: Democrat
House: Republican
Senate: Democrat
All because of this one guy.
If I was Romney, I’d be chewing Akin out until he drops out.
Missouri is a McCain state, there’s no good reason why Obama should be up.
Yeah, lets allfall all on our swords for a delusional psycho like Akin. that is the ticket!
Oh, but Akin is on a “providential” mission....
Never mind, he’s screwing the future of America.
Knew this was coming. If MO is lost, so is the election. Period.
There’s an old rule....”You disgrace the family, you GO!!!”
Who would replace him on the ballot??? There are no viable alternatives.
Yes, Huck needs to go away too, FOR GOOD.
No serious person in the pro-life movement can assert that this is a year in which we enjoy the luxury of marginal Senate candiates.
If we fail to take the Senate, every pro-abortion mandate in Obamacare will stand forever, because we will not “own” the budget reconciliation process. This requires a GOP majority - to even get a repeal bill to the floor. If he remains as majority leader, Reid will NEVER allow a vote on repeal.
Perhaps the pro-life crowd will recognize this stark reality. They are only hurting their own cause by sticking with Akin to an electoral defeat. There is no “winning” in losing this senate election.
Cowards don’t win anything, not do they deserve to win anything.
I agree Aikin’s gotta go, but Missouri won’t go for Obama. No way. This is a poll gauging people’s immediate reaction to Aikin’s goofy comments. No way they vote for Obama over this.
