AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Thursday night it will strip Lance Armstrong of his unprecedented seven Tour de France titles after he declared he was finished fighting the drug charges that threaten his legacy as one of the greatest cyclists of all time.
Travis Tygart, USADA's chief executive, said Armstrong would also be hit with a lifetime ban on Friday.

Will he go postal over this?
Yeah.
When big George Hincapie joined the long list it was a turning point for me.
I didn’t know the USADA awarded Lance Armstrong 7 Tour de France titles. I thought France did that. How can USADA strip anyone of titles they did not award?
Probably not "Tour de Lance".
USADA? My guess is that somehow the US Taxpayer's fund is crap.
And in my opinion, you are a poor speller with equally poor judgment. See how opinions work?
I bring this up because this is just another agency that bullied its way into ALL sports with the Liberal mantra, “you're all winners”.
See, that is the thing I keep asking and no one has an answer.
Is that how it works now? "Oh, you are guilty cuz we say so, case closed!"
If they have evidence then produce it but otherwise how can this be anyway legal and ethical?
And my theory is if they do have proof then he should get his title revoked but in my book "he said/she said" ain't proof! Mainly because in this day and age anyone with the dough can buy any testimony they want. I still think the French have it in for Armstrong and hate it an American won 7 times and would do anything to wipe out that record including paying people to deal the dirt!
If he never tested positive, how do they have proof?
This is Harry Reid’s Amerikka, where you don’t need no steenkin proof. You are guilty of the accusation until you prove you are innocent. Maybe not even then.
LOL! Maybe Lance supports Todd Aiken.......
You apparently don't understand the arbitration process. The panel of three arbitrators, as in most arbitrations, has the authority to direct the USADA to diclose the names of the witnessess, a summary of the testimony, and each exhibit that it intends to offer to prove its case way in advance of the arbitration hearing. The panel of arbitrators also has the authority to allow Armstrong to inspect and test documents and physical evidence and to depose the USADA witnesses under oath well in advance of the arbitration.
In my three decades of experience as both an attorney advocate in arbitration proceedings and as an arbitrator, the arbitration process is fair and objective and in many cases more so than the judical system. If you want to know why, then I'll explain in another post.
It seems that these people are true lefties and will never leave Armstrong alone. They failed several times before and now that he’s retired from racing, they can’t just leave things alone. A “lifetime ban” for someone already retired seems like beationg a dead horse.

How about you share with us the evidence of any guilt.
He probably endorsed Romney.
By refusing arbitration, they can't release the proof that they've shown Armstrong.
One presumes that's why he's letting it go.
I bet old Lance wishes he just stayed retired.
The guy is still a jerk but I have not seen ANY proof that he doped so therefore I believe he is innocent of the doping charge.
