Where ya been? Akin apologized some time ago.
How many of the ACOG’s members provide those “safe, legal, and rare” abortions?
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (The College), a 501(c)(3) organization, is the nations leading group of physicians providing health care for women. As a private, voluntary, nonprofit membership organization of approximately 56,000 members, The College strongly advocates for quality health care for women, maintains the highest standards of clinical practice and continuing education of its members, promotes patient education, and increases awareness among its members and the public of the changing issues facing womens health care. The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a 501(c)(6) organization, is its companion organization.
AND COMPLETELY 100% PRO-ABORTION!
How many from rape, how many from incest?
>> Any person forced to submit to sexual intercourse against his or her will is the victim of rape, a heinous crime. There are no varying degrees of rape.
>> “There is no varying degree of rape”.
Well, that’s legally incorrect. But it ironically speaks to the benefit of Akin’s “legitimate rape” term.
Rape is definitively illegal. Statutory rape is illegal.
Illegitimate rape can only mean that falsely claimed. Legitimate rape must mean that truthfully claimed. Rape is indeed rape.
Akin’s was speaking on behalf of Life where rape is not a factor. No other reasonable conclusion can be made from his remarks without speculation.
Seems like a very high number considering the fairly small window when a woman can become pregnant and the women who are draped after they are past their chide bearing years. Perhaps that also includes those get services just in case or get plan B
Even a rabidly pro abortion propagandist like you has to see the absurdity of that argument
So since you’ve posted a study conducted by a pro-abortion activist organization, shall I conclude that you’re in full support of abortion??
Admittedly, Akin could have chosen his words better, but I can see his point as someone who is pro-life without exception. Your rabid attacks of a pro-life conservative is questionable at best & repugnant at worst.
Its certainly curious that you posted this 40 minutes ago, have a number of responses, yet you haven’t once responded.
Are you a pro-abort troll or what??
Ahhh -- the qualifier "reported". So then this is just a box that they check to get Medicaid to pay for it with no police/medical report accompanying it.
How many of these are statutory rapes that the abortion clinic should be reporting to the police but doesn't???
Notice the wording. Reported, not confirmed.
False Rape Accusations May Be More Common Than Thought
If the foregoing results can be extrapolated, then the rate of false reports is roughly between 20 (if DNA excludes an accused) to 40 percent (if inconclusive DNA is added). The relatively low estimate of 25 to 26 percent is probably accurate, especially since it is supported by other sources.
That's a lot of false reports.
There is absolutely no veracity to the claim that If its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to shut that whole thing down. A woman who is raped has no control over ovulation, fertilization, or implantation of a fertilized egg (ie, pregnancy). To suggest otherwise contradicts basic biological truths.
A misleading statement!
Look at what was said again...
Charles Jaco:
Okay, so if an abortion can be considered in the case of, say, tubal pregnancy or something like that, what about in the case of rape? Should it be legal or not?
Rep. Todd Akin (R-Mo.):
Well, you know, uh, people always want to try to make that as one of those things, Well, how do you how do you slice this particularly tough sort of ethical question.
It seems to me, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, thats really rare. If its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.
Nobody was talking about a woman "controlling" ovulation, fertilization, or implantation of a fertilized egg! They were talking about an abortion well after it was discovered the woman was pregnant.
You can't have an abortion until well after ovulation and the fertilization of an egg!
Once again...
Raised Cortisol Predicts Spontaneous Abortion
High urinary levels of the stress hormone cortisol are a marker for early pregnancy loss, US researchers have found.
Surely the ACOG isn't saying that a spontaneous abortion can't take place after fertilization are they? To suggest otherwise contradicts basic biological truths.
BFL
This pretty well proves that politicians of any stripe should stop trying to educate the public about things they know nothing about. One benefit would be we could all enjoy the sounds of nature more since there would be very little political discourse going out over the airways.
Can anyone remember Roe- of Roe v.Wade? Seems Norma McCorvey as a lesbian who it has been reported claimed she was raped
and had no problem with the LIE as a lesbian-—yet when she grew weary of assisting in the bloody mess (abortion on demand) ...when she converted to Christianity she confessed the LIE. It seems she was Never raped—some say despite her role in Roe V.Wade. ... she may not have ever had an abortion either. And as one who was raped and sodomized by a hyphenated American back in 69 and as one who survived the years in a wasteland of drug abuse as a coping mechanism until I decided,as a Christian I had to trust God and not drugs. I resent the “progressive” argument that “rape” is only “rape “ if done to a woman.Akin to their other lie that
Hate crimes can only happen if committed against a homosexual or on eof their favored classes.
So either we believe this “progressive” group—or the stats by another abortion rights group the Alan Guttmacher Institute back in 1987 —as quoted by Aida Torres and Jacqueline Darroch Forrest—Why do women have Abortions?—Family Planning Perspectives ,July,Aug.1988pp169-170-as cited by Robert H.Bork Slouching Towards Gomorrah pp.pp180-181 Regan Books ,1996. I cannot believe the numbers cited in this report for I recall the abortionist who helped found NARAL claim once that they made up the numbers of abortions to justify their “cause” in Roe and Doe.
