By Todd Starnes Former U.S. Sen. Bob Bennett said Mitt Romney once compared the Tea Party to a ferret
Bennett was a three-term senator from Utah who was ousted at the state’s GOP convention by conservatives.
The Time story recounts a conversation between Bennett said Romney shortly after his ouster.
He said Romney related what he believed to be an apocryphal story about getting bitten by a ferret he had tried to rescue from a dishwasher.
“Mitt said the Tea party people are like that ferret in the dishwasher,” he said in the Time Magazine report. “They’re so frightened and angry, they’ll even bite Bob Bennett, who’s trying to get the country out of this mess.”
The story was adapted from “The New New Deal,” a book written by Michael Grunwald.
Bennett’s office did not respond to calls seeking comment.
Romney campaign spokesperson Andrea Saul did not confirm or deny Romney made the comments.

You’ll find nobody on this forum really supports O’Donnell anymore. In fact, her best spokesperson on this forum is now suing her if I remember correctly. She’s also being sued for stealing someone’s idea of a reality TV show, and lying about Chuck Woolery supporting her stolen show.
Akin just made a stupid statement. I’m not sure he deserves to be compared to O’Donnell.

My opinion of Romney has not changed one iota. He’s still a lying liberal progressive. I just want to make sure the tea party sweeps continue in 2012 and that we have a maximum turnout so we can vote out as many godless liberals as is humanly possible, including the Marxist usurper squatting in the W/H.

He didn't have any problem kissing up to tea partiers when he was invited to speak at several tea parties in the past.

It’s well known on Digg. They were fun to play with when a bunch of us from FR used to go over and “Digg up” the conservative posts.
They would probably get away with it if they weren’t so cliche. When they portray the caricature they think are conservatives, they’re easy to pick out.

Bob Bennett is gone. Romney is better than Obama. Nothing more to the story than that.
I really want SOMEONE to explaint to me how “We can deal with Romney’s RINOness next year.” What is the exit plan? All I hear is that we have to vote for the mushy moderate because any real conservative cannot win the idiot vote.
