Wall Street may lean Republican this presidential election cycle, but the New York media world is staunchly Democratic.
All the major media companies, driven largely by their Hollywood film and television businesses, have made larger contributions to President Obama than to his rival, former Gov. Mitt Romney, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonprofit, nonpartisan Washington-based research group that publishes the Open Secrets Web site.
The centers numbers represent donations by a companys PAC and any employees who listed that company as their employer.
Even companies whose news outlets are often perceived as having a conservative bias have given significantly more money to Mr. Obama.

Nazi propaganda bass turds. They are paying Barry back for all the ad time he and his Nazis are buying to smear Americans.
Of course. No surprise here.
So how come Republicans rarely if ever mention antitrust actions against the MSM oligopoly?
Seriously, America will strongly benefit if these monsters are forced to split.
Well, does the bear s$it in the woods?...
duh
and the sun rises in the east.
this is news?
My question is; does Hollywood produce all the porno flooding the internet, how much money is there involved, is that how Bernie Madoff would return 500%, and was Bernie a democrat?
It’s always ‘follow the money’’you scratch my back... on both sides.
However, demoncRATS have pretty much proven they are filth.
I put nothing past them.

And as one poster (Axelrod) on your source blog states,
Funny how the NY Times doesn’t tell readers about contributions by people who work for the NY Times!
For the record, the same Open Secrets website lists the contributions of Times-ers over the years. And they resemble NBC/Comcast etc. as being overwhelmingly Democrat: 90 NY Times contributions to Democrats and related groups, versus 10 to Republicans.
The media declares their partisan affiliation by their own actions. For example, in 2008 NBC employees donated 313 times to Obama, versus 20 to McCain. CBS? 259 to 12.Time Warner? 173 to 17.HBO? 106 to 9.
And these 90-94% Dem groups are the ones who claim that they’re nonpartisan! - Aug. 23, 2012 at 11:32 a.m.
A few more examples of the media taking sides, according to their own campaign contributions:
Turner Broadcasting employees: 92 contributions to Obama vs. 6 to McCain in 2008.
Conde Nast: 109 to 1 Democrat
MTV: 89 to 1 Democrat
Jeff Bewkes, Time Warner CEO—Obama, Kerry, DNC donor
Robert Iger, ABC/Disney Presidnet: Dem donor
Ben Sherwood, ABC News President: Dem donor
Les Moonves, CBS President: big DNC, Gore, Clinton donor
Gary Knell, President PBS: former Dem Party Congressional staffer
Haim Saban, Chmn. Univision: $325,000 to Obama and the Democrats
I could easily go on with this. - Aug. 23, 2012 at 4:06 p.m.
