A Hopewell circuit court judge has ordered that a Marine veteran detained over anti-government Facebook posts be released from a psychiatric hospital. CBS 6 News’ Catie Beck said the Judge Allan Sharrett dismissed the case Thursday against Brandon Raub. The judge said the original petition for Raub’s detention contained no facts. In other words, there was no information on why Raub was being held — and the judge deemed this violated his civil liberties. As a result, the judge ruled the government had no grounds to hold Raub. Beck said the judge is in the process of writing an order for Raub’s release. He is has been released from the hospital in Salem, Virginia Thursday afternoon and is headed home to Chesterfield. The decorated U.S. Marine veteran was questioned by FBI agents about his Facebook postings and then hauled away from his Chesterfield County home in handcuffs last Thursday.

This is only 6 years ago. You need to get out more. Ever been to a 'club'? Loud nasty music all the time ~ a cacophony ~ people drinking, sweating, eating spiced ham sandwiches ...... oh the horrors.

Then there are the dudes who hang around chanting the latest popular rap songs, and haggling with hookers.

Did you think these were nice people attending a private ballet performance at a gentlemen's club somewhere?

Gad!

The Daily News had an earlier piece that provided extensive quotes on what the undercover cop(s) had to say about what they heard ~ even more Eminem lyrics.

The cops chose to have a judge decide and did without a jury. They were fired anyway.

I don't know if they committed a crime, nor do you. None of us were there, right?

The obamanation regime has proved to be a dictatorship and their ways and means are unconstitutional and as evil as and communist dictatorship in this present evil world.

I thank the Lord Jesus for the once Christian inspired nation God created to spread the gospel of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone who was crucified for our sins and rose again the third day and who now is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for the saints, even all saved sinners who believe Him.And thank you Lord, this marine was persecuted for being free.

Lord Jesus, let all those who hate you flee before you.

In some ways, being arrested is a lesser offense than being put in a mental institution. There was a study a while back, IIRC, done about sane people labelled crazy- the doctors and nurses saw the person as crazy, and found evidence, even though he wasn’t.

Alas, that wasn't the only instance of such things happening ~ and in New York? Today, after the big shooting at the Empire State building we hear from the mayor that some of the victims were shot by the police.

Tell me about improbable improbabilities.

Besides, "going to get my gun" was a very highly rated song at the time by the TWO TOP RAP ARTISTS. The peeps went around singing the lyrics.

The key line for this case is "My car is right across the street xxxxx and . . (I'M GONNA GET MY GUN!)" But our man's car was not across the street at all ~ it was on the same side of the street as the club ~ so we know any comment like that was from the Eminem/D12 pop song and not anything spoken seriously about getting a gun. Besides, after the cops shot him and his buds up none of them had a gun!

BTW, you need to do what I had to do to get really old pre-trial information on that case ~ use Google.com to look up FREEREPUBLIC BRIDGEROOM SHOOTING ~ and maybe Muawiyah with it.

We had one of the very first discussion threads on the case ~ within a few hours of the event. Our references are still bright and fresh; the MSM references are for sale.

Don't mix this up ~ the city paid because the cops had no justification for shooting the vics. So who do you imagine started the "going to get my gun' story? That's clearly something that helps establish probable cause for killing one man and maiming two others, right?

Working backwards from the killing, it's pretty obvious the cops needed an excuse! Otherwise they just out of the blue killed a guy.

IMHO, “truther nuts” are merely ignorant pawns of anti-USA segments in our society, which includes all societal aspects:government, religions, education, unions, media, business, and individuals.Foreign and domestic.

Unarguably ignorant, but not necessarily stupid or mentally deranged.

Take a few harsh and distasteful facts, add a few lies and rumors, stir gently with an elegant dose of conspiracy, connect the newly created dots, and voila!
A new and “improved” way to comprehend the man made horror of this world emerges!

People used to consider being called a “liar” justification for violence. Now we routinely pay liars to represent us in our courts and our government.

If he wants to try to prove to the public that gummit agents brought down the buildings that were officially bombed by terrorists, he’s free as a bird to do so, and to look either as nutty or as credible as he wishes. But in the mean time they have no legal right at the gummit to go seizing him and treating him like a character in Kafka.

Truther nonsense doesn't get you locked up for psychiatric observation ~ posting rap lyrics or sitting there in a lotus chanting them might.

I"m just guessing most Freepers imagine that rap lyrics are all about 'hoodies, gangsters and hos'~but they're noOoOottttt!!!!

Awful lot of them are about mutilating dead bodies, killing, burning down stuff ~
