This is the one word that shines a burning beam into the intellectual make up of Akin’s core beliefs concerning rape.
Some will say a poor choice of words, a gaffe, misspoken verbiage, but that word is very significant and has a very damning meaning.
Akin was referring to women who get pregnant and then claim rape in order to get an abortion, (illegitimate rape) hence the supporting argument that legitimate rape would not result in pregnancy, but a phoney claim of rape had to be phoney because by his logic, the woman got pregnant.
Well something odd is definitely going on, .30.
While I do believe that Akin’s comments were poorly worded, certainly less than artful, they do not come anywhere near the level of offensive needed to create the level of screaming hysteria, vitriol, and just sheer nonsense that I have seen here.
People are acting as if he committed some sort of heinous crime aginst a child or something.
But yeah, if this is real and republicans are this easily pushed, we are undone.
We are going to need to be much, much smarter than this. our enemy is crafty and cunning, and our people seem to be fools of the highest order.

It doesn’t matter, all the defense in the world is not going to change the reality of the situation, he will lose and McCaskill will win. It is just that simple.
Unfortunately you have nailed it to the wall with those observations.
The truth certainly matters. And since the GOPe won’t shut up about it and is telling people they are justified in not voting, he can certainly depend on losing. But not because the GOPe isn’t stupid.
