Aaaah, Ann Coulter, the pro-Romney hag who was vilified mercilessly on FR just some months ago is now a “voice of reason” in all of this?

Spare me. She’s displayed her colors and they aren’t conservative. RINO. Which means she plays for the GOP-e team. The same team that is busy voraciously eating one who it considers a mutant within its ranks.

I wonder, what would have happened if the GOP had circled the wagons around Mr. Akin and basically told the media and Dems to shove off?

Helped a wounded warrior vs. leaving him to die alone? Where is the honor in this?

He’s not a warrior, he’s a politician.

If he's a "wounded warrior" it's because he shot himself in the foot.

He's clearly an inept politician. He spouted off about a subject that is a notorious political minefield, and followed up his foolish rape comments with a bizarre interview on national radio.

Where's the honor in someone acting stupidly and then refusing to take responsibility for the wreckage they have caused?

Akin is now the poster boy for the Troglodyte Republican who is waging "War on Women". Scott Brown's opponent, Elizabeth Warren, has already launched an attack ad exploiting the Akin mess. Let's hope we don't lose any other seats thanks to Akin's hubris.

"Selfish Swine" sums him up quite well.

More like an infantry officer who shoots himself in the foot before the battle, but insists on leading the charge against the enemy anyway, turning a deaf ear to his soldiers' pleas to give the job to one of his non-wounded, non-bleeding, provenly competent, accident-free junior officers. Where is the honor in his refusing this?
