I figure Willard loses in November and even if he doesn’t, I suspect that in the end Obamacare will not be repealed. That’s really the bottomline for most conservatives in this election cycle. When Obamacare ends up not getting repealed, it will just be a matter of time before repealing it is removed from the Republican platform, just like getting rid of SS was removed from the platform in the 50s. In the 30s, many Republicans called FDR’s new deal, which included SS as “creeping socialism”. Today, you couldn’t find a single Republican that would even hint of it. I bet even Ron Paul won’t say it in public, although he probably thinks it privately. I’m convinced the ballot box has become a worthless lost cause.

Yup. It’ll be like the balanced budget amendment in the 80’s and 90’s. It’ll become “just too difficult to do” once the gop is elected.

Depends if you’re talking at the Federal or state and local level.
