As a write-in candidate? As a third-party splitting the vote? How will someone else carry the torch, and win? Statistically speaking, that's not going to happen.
Romney is the "presumptive" nominee and we are begged to support him despite a political career filled with anti-conservative voting. Akin is no longer "presumptive"; he is the nominee. He has a singular case of foot-in-mouth and the leaders of his own party (our party) threaten him.
Do you see the double standard? I do. If Akin exits the race, we lose a Missouri Senate seat opportunity for six years. If Akin stands firm and the GOP quit acting like democrats, he'll win and we gain a Senate seat. It disgusts me the GOP is playing the higher moral standard against Akin while turning a blind eye to Romney. Is this what our party has become?
