Give it up...
Not familiar with the phrase, myself. You? If he backs out and Missouri is left with only a write-in opportunity to unseat McCaskill, the election will indeed be lost. Only by Akin staying in the race do conservatives maintain a shot at that Senate seat in this cycle.

Drunk before noon already?
Akin is toxic and will be the rallying cry for the demos just like Foley.
Can’t you see that?
This sight has some of the most delusional people I have ever come across. Akin is toxic like Kryptonite.

Missourians in majority voted for a dead man. And then they allowed the dead man’s widow have his seat.
By the way have you moved to Missouri? Or are you on your self appointed mission from God?
When God speaks NOT even the liberals will ignore Him.

You're
delusional. I withheld judgment until now but with these numbers Akin has no chance - NONE.
For crying out loud how hard would it be to write in Steelman (or Brunner)? Much better chance that way.

Only by Akin staying in the race do conservatives maintain a shot at that Senate seat in this cycle. If Akin gets a court order permitting him to withdraw, the Missouri Republican Party gets to replace him as the nominee-- with someone who has a chance of winning.
