Both the parties are ganging up on him for the miscue. This is a negative bump. We've seen dozens of bumps just in the last year, bumps up and down, for all the major candidates. Assuming Akin stays in the race, and I hope he does, the Pro-Akin and Anti-McCaskill people of Missouri will align once more to gain the Senate seat. I have no doubt. If the GOP is willing to beg us to support a man of Romney's low conservative value, it should have no problem pulling for Akin. It is insulting to the conservative base not to do so.

This guy is no victim.

He made a really stupid comment in a senate race not the town council race.
He made things worse by going on the Hannity radio show sounding like a delusional fool.

He won the primary because there were 8 candidates in an open primary.
The Dems and Claire gave him a roughly 2 million in ads attacking his rivals .
Then that disaster Huck stuck his nose in the race too.
