Where Akin is on the issues is completely irrelevant. His continue presence in the race damages Republicans’ chances of re-capturing the Senate and are already allowing the democrats to avoid talking about Obama’s miserable record.

This selfish bastard is dominating the media now and allowing the democrats to focus the media’s attention away from the issues that will help Republicans win. The bottom line is that any one of the other available candidate are a guaranteed win for the Republicans. Akin is not. That is all that matters and he should be able to recognize that and do what is right for his party.

Oh so issues don't count to you. They do to the voters of Missouri.

That is pure BS. Check the Rasmussen polls lately. Republicans are assured between 4 - 8 seats and that is enough to take back the Senate.

and are already allowing the democrats to avoid talking about Obama’s miserable record.

Is there something wrong with Romney's lips and Ryans and GOP's. Quit your bellyaching and go win an election.

Bingo. It's sort of like a Republican candidate who accidentally said "the KKK is great" when he really meant "the KKK is hate." Very unfair...but now get out of the way.

Huh? Did you just say positions on the issues are completely irrelevant? Have things gotten so bad that even our fellow conservatives are starting to believe acting before the camera is more important than voting in the Congress? I hope the vast majority of our FRiends disagree with you. I know I do.
