Agree completely. With wins like this and Chick-fil-a back to back, maybe the media will wake up and look beyond their elite circles.

Atkin is a CONSERVATIVE...A TRUE CONSERVATIVE...unlike Romney, Rove, Hannity, and the rest of the hypocrites.I know. Unfortunately, Atkin decided not to run this year.

Only by our liberal opponents. That and worse to be sure. I expect no less from them. Who among us hasn't been subjected to the same for one point or another?
You mean like Christine "I'm not a witch!" O'Donnell?
Anyone remember how successful she was on changing the subject to the issues?

Hmmm...that reminds me of something, what is it...hmmm....what do you remind me of. Oh yeah, you sound just like the loony left talking about global warming being a fact and the argument "being over" and you know what, you're just as full of crap as they are.

Where Akin is on the issues is completely irrelevant.
Huh? Did you just say positions on the issues are completely irrelevant? Have things gotten so bad that even our fellow conservatives are starting to believe acting before the camera is more important than voting in the Congress? I hope the vast majority of our FRiends disagree with you. I know I do.

Anyone remember how successful she was on changing the subject to the issues?O'Donnell didn't have a lengthy and distinguished career in public office like Akin did.

Mary Mary, quite contrary, if you picked up a book and read something you wouldn't sound so scary.
If a womans ovaries have already released an egg, shes just as likely to get pregnant from a rape as she would be from a voluntary encounter, Dr. Barbara Levy, vice president for health policy at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, told NBC News. From the biological standpoint, a woman is at risk for pregnancy if shes at a vulnerable point in her menstrual cycle when the rape occurs.
Dr. Lauren Streicher, an assistant professor at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago.... In response to Akins statement that If its a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to shut that whole thing down, Streicher said, You let me know if you find the doctor that knows how a uterus knows which sperm to ward off.
"That is absolutely false," said Dr. George Attia, director of the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), which counts 56,000 members, also called the remarks "medically inaccurate, offensive and dangerous."
"In a Tuesday interview with The Christian Post, Dr. Gene Rudd, an obstetrician-gynecologist who is also senior vice president of Christian Medical & Dental Associations, said there is no evidence that pregnancies are rare among rape victims. "I don't know where [Akins is] coming from, but what he said, there's no basis for it," Rudd explained. Read more at http://www.christianpost.com/news/rape-pregnancies-not-rare-ob-gyn-says-80369/#UBwIimxuQsBAVBSg.99 "
There are no words for this it is just nuts, said Michael Greene, a professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School." Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/2012/08/20/3771226/doctors-dispute-akins-claim-but.html#storylink=cpy
Michael Weaver, an emergency medicine physician at St. Lukes Hospital and medical director of the forensic care program at St. Lukes Health System, said Akin was wrong. To try to be able to say that anyones going to respond in a consistent pattern thats going to limit their probability of becoming pregnant is ridiculous, Weaver said.

You might consider stopping posting nonsense like this on FR.
The real question for us to sleep on on is this!! Do we execute the human baby because Mommy now thinks she didnt give consent?
So if a woman becomes pregnant, it can never be from a rape?

“Invented a new English language term: legitimate rape.”
Nope the Muslims did that under Sharia. The RINO’s are in full roar, helping the Dumbocrats. They are more afraid of losing their power than ignoring one stupid statement. CIRCULAR FIRING SQUAD in full swing. I think some should look at the use of legitimate in the English language. It is almost as misunderstood as the word homicide.

Yeah, Karl Rove really threw her under the bus. And I don't think he's one bit sorry for handing that election to the democrat (Coons) on a silver platter either. Come to think of it, he's cut off Akin now too. I think he's showing his spots; and, I think we're seeing them.

Can’t vouch for his intellect because I don’t know the guy, but I do like his voting record. And so far he does not seem to be a quitter, like so many of the gutless spineless Republicans that are advising him to quit, turn tail, back down and run like so many them do. “Quit for the good of the party”- How about “Stand and fight just this once” and set a rare example for the Republican party.

Don’t try to confuse all the fair weather Freepers with the facts. They’ve already joined the lynch mob.
Akin is 100% in agreement with all we here on Free Republic are supposed to believe. He makes one rather unfortunate statement (using “legitimate” instead of “forcible”) and everyone wants to lynch him and put in a Susan Collins or Olympia Snowe clone to replace him.
He has at least another month to get out of the race if this silly issue is still an albatross around his neck. 90% of the people who are calling for his removal from the ticket had no clue he was even alive until the MSM caught this gotcha moment. I am quite surprised at the number of Freepers who are calling for his crucifixion. Well we have all had our gotcha moments.
Let him who has never made a stupid statement cast the first stone.

Please, Christine O’Donnell threw herself under the bus willingly. She’s a very nice lady, charming, good personality, charming and seemed like a very nice person all in all but she was not cut out for politics, in any form or fashion, her campaign was over well before “I’m not a witch”, that was the final nail in the coffin.
