We've had several doctors chime in, there's doctors on this site, not to mention doctors that have chimed in on all the different media, choose whichever one you trust most and there will be a doctor saying that this guy is absolutely full of #$^&.

"If a woman’s ovaries have already released an egg, she’s just as likely to get pregnant from a rape as she would be from a voluntary encounter,” Dr. Barbara Levy, vice president for health policy at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, told NBC News. “From the biological standpoint, a woman is at risk for pregnancy if she’s at a vulnerable point in her menstrual cycle when the rape occurs.”

There is no magic protection against pregnancy from rape, period. That's a scientific fact at this point, the only people who dispute it are the ones who still wonder if the earth is actually flat.

There's a problem with that. The problem is that these professional organizations are extremely susceptible to pressure from the Left. Witness the changes to the description of homosexuality in the DSM after radical "gay" activists threatened the APA.

Another professional organization, under pressure from the radical gay lobby, also came damn near publishing some pro-pedophilia "scholarship" ... until Dr. Laura raised hell over it.

There is no magic protection against pregnancy from rape, period.

Stop using the word "magic." Nobody is using that word but Leftists and their dupes on the right.

By dismissing a theory without proving it to be false, you are actually the one behaving like the people who insisted the earth was flat. "Nonsense! You haven't proved the earth is round, therefore it must be flat!" Please offer the detailed proof that the circumstances of a rape do not make a pregnancy any less likely to occur.

I'm still not convinced and certainly this is not proof. However even if he was misinformed on the likeliness of pregnancy that was NOT the point of his statement. The POINT of his statement was that IF a pregnancy occurs as the result of a rape we should still NOT KILL THE BABY. I fail to see how his advocating for the unborn innocent human being is repugnant in any way. I understand their are other views on this subject as well but that does not mean he is some insensitive rape advocate. Give me a break.

If Akin loses this senate seat it will be because of damage done by REPUBLICANS and CONSERVATIVES. Sorry guys but we can't blame the media or the democrats on this one.

I also wonder how Paul Ryan and other republicans will feel if Akin just barely loses this seat and it turns out to decide the majority party in the senate. You can bet they will be wishing they would have kept their mouths shut or simply defended Akin and moved on.
