A Minnesota Democrat who had a rest-stop sexual encounter with a 17-year-old boy says he's still running for re-election.
Democratic Rep. Kerry Gauthier told Northland's NewsCenter in Duluth on Wednesday he will let people in his district decide his political future, "rather than the political power base in St. Paul."
[Gauthier also said] that he's "a better person than this incident portrayed me."

It certainly seemed to help Gerry Studds’ career in the Dem party. I guess now we’ll find out if Duluth has “evolved” to embrace Studds’ and Ted Kennedy’s values.

It was up and down the rest stops Kerry he did run,
Searching for Little Boys to have his fun, in the back seat.
Now Kerry is a Democrat and Little boys are no sin.

I wish you would not engage in moral equivalence like this- comparing Akin’s poor choice of words to a man who molests minors. The issue to seize on would be the stark contrast between the shrill media against republicans and the protectionism for the worst democrats. Republicans should stop eating their own. If you want equivalence, a poor choice of words should not doom anyone of either party, unless it becomes a habit.
Dead on. Akin only said something and this slime Did something. Every Repub needs to go on offense. What do you think of Akin staying in the race. I think meeting and having sex at a rest stop with 17 year old boys as Minnesota Democrat Gauthier did is much worse. Don’t even mention Akin’s name in the response.
