Rilly? How does that work? I thought priests lived in plain, drafty rectory buildings and worked 6 days a week (especially Sundays), baptizing babies, witnessing marriages, listening to people's troubles, firing up sullen teenagers, and comforting the dying, sometimes in distant places late at night, but have to get up with their brain on to do a 7 a.m. Mass—for about $25K a year. If there's an opportunity for the greedy there, let me know. Maybe I missed my calling.

Priests can fiddle the accounts, and the greedy ones probably do.

Do they? Is this a significant phenomenon, compared to some other line of work? Got any statistics on that? The accountants at the chanceries of the bishops these priests answer to, who audit their books, would be very interested if you have special insight on this subject.

Your comments sound like a casual, lazy slime from someone who doesn't know the field he's describing, but feels safe doing so. I know you're most likely just being sloppy, but would please put up or shut up? And preferably apologize?
