EXACTLY. The amazing this is Akin made all the way to a Senate race before people realized he was so inept.

Warren and Akin actually have a lot in common except he had the sense to apologize.

Were a Republican to do this, it would be called a "smear".

So many double standards, so little time...

Agreed, this is a bad move for the Fake Indian.

She has built her career on the “gonna take that guy who’s charging you 30% on your Visa card and send him to jail” schtick. Probably wishes she had stuck to that.

Christmas comes early for the rats with a gift wrapped Akin. But, hold on just a minute here... the rats ALWAYS manage to overreach and this time will be no exception.

Enjoy the bubble bath for now, kiddies, because soon we're going to drain the tub.

Lizzie Warren......isn’t she just a liar? Didn’t she steal benefits meant for someone else? A liar and a thief. The Democrats in Massachusetts must really be stupid. I’ll bet if they get mugged they hand the robber their money and then invite them to their house to get the money in the safe.

“Yes, because like many in the GOP/Conservative movement you need to stop focusing on what they are doing to us and start focusing on what we are going to do to them

You are letting them distract you, stop it.”

Perhaps you want to tell that to the media and the opposition.Below are some of today’s freep threads.Akin is the story of the week for them and conservatives wishing it away is not going to prevent the media from leading with Akin questions.A fighter has to defend vs punches before he counterpunches. The national candidates are suffering from the second hand smoke coming out of Missouri and right now there is little they can do about it.They have to respond when asked about it or when attacked with it as much as they would like to focus on the economy.

Priests can fiddle the accounts, and the greedy ones probably do.

Do they? Is this a significant phenomenon, compared to some other line of work? Got any statistics on that? The accountants at the chanceries of the bishops these priests answer to, who audit their books, would be very interested if you have special insight on this subject.

Your comments sound like a casual, lazy slime from someone who doesn't know the field he's describing, but feels safe doing so. I know you're most likely just being sloppy, but would please put up or shut up? And preferably apologize?

Touchy, touchy. I'm not saying that most priests are corrupt, merely that the priesthood offers many opportunities for corruption. Charities work like that. I think you've overlooked the bit where I wrote "religious *or* greedy". Like it or not, not everyone is motivated by idealism, and enterprises like churches, mosques, temples as well as non-religious non-profits offer plenty of opportunities for diverting funds towards personal use. And that's all I have to say on this subject.

Touchy, touchy.

Sloppy, unsophisticated.

I just don't like the flabby ignorance and adolescent pomposity you're throwing around. If you knew priests, you'd know that greed isn't a major hazard in that profession. There's laziness and complacency. There's moral cowardice. There's anger and discouragement. Some of them like fancy furnishings or meals a bit too much. A very few of them—a smaller proportion than the general population, or than school teachers—fall down in the sexual morality department. I've heard of a couple of cases of spectacular greed, by priest-con-men who preyed on rich ladies. But as a rule, there's very little money flying around in a parish, and it's watched very carefully. Compared to the financial or real estate business, it doesn't attract folks who are ambitious about greed.

If you threw around ill-informed generalizations about soldiers, knowledgeable FReepers would be down your throat in seconds. Stick to what you know. It's the least you can do for millions of people like warriors, priests, and mothers, whose job description requires them to be self-sacrificing and heroic when nobody is watching.

Fight back. Make an ad showing the problem that is a “part of the Democrat pattern” of pedophiles diddling underage boys ala Sandusky at rest stops.

I’d almost bet Sandusky was a Democrat!

Child molestors, gays, pedophiles, unprofessional lesbos in HHS, etc.

What a pattern. Grow a pair GOP.

If there's an opportunity for the greedy there, let me know. Maybe I missed my calling.

I know a priest who could use the info as well.
