They have a 100% chance of victory NOW. Akin threw the election away with his big mouth and subsequent pig-headedness.

A write-in campaign is a long shot, but it is the only way to win the seat.

If you don't believe me, just wait a couple of weeks. By then Akin will be ten to twenty points behind in the polls and every statement out of his mouth will be an apology. You can take it to the bank.

I don’t take checks I know will bounce to the bank.

The democrats aren’t guaranteed a win if Akin stays in. Dropping out would have been the politically best thing but we have to deal with things as they are.

Akin will not drop out. A write-in simply won’t win. These are the things you ha e to deal with.

So the 71% of Missouri voters who voted against Obamacare in a statewide referendum would rather have the person who voted FOR Obamacare and is against repeal, to be their Senator versus the guy who voted against it and wants to repeal it? Obamacare actually affects everyone, including seniors who will have to face the rulings of the IPAB aka Death Panel, but a verbal gaffe by Akins affects no one. If Missouri voters are that stupid, then they deserve the government they voted for.

And then there are those other minor issues like unemployment, the $16 trillion national debt, and trillion dollar deficits for the past four years that have given us more debt in Obama's four years than Bush's eight. If you believe the MSM and the Dems, the election will revolve around a verbal gaffe and an unaccepted apology versus real issues that affect real people in real life.
