Playing him like a fiddle. The very definition of a useful idiot.

Sad that this moron cost us a seat and quite possibly the Senate.

And Akin says he is staying in. Wow. A Republican holding himself above his country and his party. Why don’t Republicans have the discipline that Democrats have? McCaskill will certainly win that previously winnable seat. Hope we can still repeal Obamacare. THANKS SO MUCH, Todd Akin, narcissist.

Todd Akin says he will remain in the race. I am shocked. Clearly he suffers from elephantitus of the ego. According to The Politico, Paul Ryan called Akin and tried to get him to drop out. Maybe Akin thinks that Claire McCaskill is so unpopular that voters will support him anyway. Perhaps he so dislikes primary opponent John Brunner that he’ll risk reelecting McCaskill to keep Brunner out. Admittedly, Brunner is not a great candidate, but he wouldn’t commit a blunder on this scale.

There is hope. Akin has the option of dropping out by September 25, provided that a state judge allows it and he pays to have his name removed from the ballot. You can bet that if it happens, McCaskill and the ‘Rat Party will fight like mad to keep him on the ballot. For the time being, we’re shafted.

The McCaskill/Akin teamwork is a wonder to behold. If Akin isn't on the Rat payroll, he ought to be.

This doesn’t affect me. I don’t live in Missouri.

Jack the Ripper was not available to run against McCaskill so she picked the next best thing running in the Republican primary to support with 1.5 million in ad buys pushing his candidacy.

I didn’t vote for this guy when he was on American Idol and I’m not going to vote for him now.

I managed to not avoid hearing most of the CBS evening news. Nothing but Akin. Made me so angry I had to leave the room.

If Akin is a Democrat plant, he has done a wonderful job.

Exactly what is Akin’s line of work when he’s not a politician. My vision of him is that of town fool. He doesn’t get it does he? If he’s elected which is very doubtful, he’ll have as much respect as a streaker at a funeral.

Wouldn’t it be great if Akin surprised everybody and won the Missouri Senate seat without any help from the national GOP or their Super PACs and became the deciding vote on Obamacare???

Yes, I bet she would, since it pretty much guarantees her a job for the next six years at least.

Ahh, yes, Missouri, where elections are soooooooooo sacred that even a dead guy gets to stay on the ballot. And ends up winning at that.

The MSM will cover nothing but Akin from now to the election. Obama and Reid just got a free pass to continue running the US despite having run it into the ground the past 3.5 years.
