President Barack Obama's reelection campaign unveiled "Rabbis for Obama"a group of more than 600 rabbis from across the countryat a time when Republicans are hoping to erode the Democrat's wide lead among Jewish voters.
"Their ringing endorsement of President Obama speaks volumes about the president's deep commitment to the security of the state of Israel and his dedication to a policy agenda that represents the values of the overwhelming majority of the American Jewish community," Ira Forman, the campaign's Jewish Outreach Director, said in a statement.
The announcement came with a state-by-state list of the rabbis backing Obama, who leads Romney 68 percent to 25 percent among Jewish voters according to a recent Gallup poll.

“Please your enemy so he’ll be nice to you” is a difficult concept to understand. Wait, isn’t it similar to the Stockholm Syndrome?
The Kapo Jews supporting Barry would be wise to reread their history books especially the part about the Holocaust. Apparently, they can’t recognize evil when it’s in front of them.
These are Rabbis like I’m the Pope. No offense to the Pope, I just mean that they are not Rabbis in the sense of Jewish teachers or spiritual leaders. What they are are high priests of the church of liberalism.
I'm going to assume you typed that in the heat of emotionalism. If you did not you are either incredibly stupid or else don't belong on Free Republic.
You didn't say "some Jews" hate this country. You said "JEWS" hate this country and its founders.
Do you understand that only Orthodox rabbis are actually rabbis and that the so-called "rabbis" of Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist "Judaism" are not? Did you notice how many names of these "rabbis" was women? There is no such thing as a woman rabbi.
Jews are traditionally afraid of unbridled nationalist and chrstian enthusiasm because they have learned the hard way. Unfortunately, since the "enlightenment" many Jewish "leaders" have assumed the only way to protect Jewish lives is to have a universal secular standard that will sit in judgment on all religions and all "gxds." There is indeed one Jewish component to this philosophy: Jews were given the mission of imposing on the world a universal, objective moral standard. However, this standard is Theocratic, not secular.
How many "chrstian nationalists" even worship a universal, objective G-d at all? How many chrstians worship a localized idol: an American "gxd," an English "gxd," a Spanish "gxd," etc. It is indeed a Jewish mission to destroy all these false national idols. And I will go on record as stating my personal opinion that even Jewish liberalism serves G-d in this way--by destroying local idols, even though it is being destructively and in a non-Kosher way. But all things are governed by Divine Providence.
Finally, the Jewish People are a Theocratic nation in exile, not a religious organization. Until some three hundred years ago they were a self-governing Theocratic community governed by Torah law even in the Exile. Genuine Orthodox rabbis are the ONLY authentic Jewish leaders in the world. All the politicians, philanthropists, and bureaucrats are phonies.
DON’T BUY THE POLLS. I guarantee you the support number is going to be lower among Jews, GUARANTEE.
From your mouth to God's ear!
Look how the current administration is handling the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Now the Egyptian are inserting tanks, attack helicopters and heavy equipment into the Sinai desert IN VIOLATION of the Camp David accords. Ignore these precedents and we are in August 1939...
This one needed a barf alert before the headline. “Overwhelming majority”? Sure. The overwhelming majority of Jews in America have a death wish.
Maybe they should put
Y RABBIS FOR OBAMA Y
bumber stickers on their vehicles, then go on a drive through Trayvonville. Surely they would attract a few more Obama voters.
IIRC, this "list of rabbis" gig was used by the 'Rats in 2008. They're thinking that if it worked well then, it'll work agin now. Not necessarily, Foreman!
Yes, I'd be certain that the majority of these rabbis on the 'Rats' list are Reform or perhaps even Reconstructionist (even more "progressive" than Reform).
Next time you call me stupid for using real numbers to make a point you should be man enough to give your address so you can try that in person.
To use your saul alinsky logic nobody could say any group was this or that if a single person had an opposite opinion.
It is statistically obvious and provable even to apologists like you than in recent years American Jews have a political bell curve which is almost completely opposite the brilliance of the founders and I will not tolerate that nor your direct attack on me simply because I state facts..
When 78% vote for a Marxist they are traitors and if you support them you are in the same group.
Time has long passed for any group to get PC protection if they fill our universities with Marxist propaganda and in their places of worship hide behind the 1st Amendment to encourage people to be traitors to the USA.
Maybe it is you, to use your own words, who is “stupid” (my IQ is 153) or you “do not belong on the FreeRepublic” .
FYI, Karl Marx was not Jewish, except in the Nazi sense. He had Jewish ancestry, but was raised in the Lutheran church in Germany. Saul Alinsky was nominally Jewish.
To make a blanket statement that "Jews hate this country and the founders" is insane. Jews have served honorably in every war the United States has fought, including the Revolution.
I wouldn't think that the Gallup poll results are all that accurate. It is very difficult and tedious and inefficient to get an accurate take on the national Jewish vote, because of many demographic factors. Furthermore, Gallup tends to oversample Democrats in all their polling. And the Gallup poll cited in the article was not new, rather from several months ago.
When all is said and done, Obama will probably end up with at most 60% of the total Jewish vote. Still a lot, but a lot less than in 2008.
Trust me: he doesn't deserve to wear a yarmulke.
When 78% of ANY group vote for a Marxist who STATED he would fundamentally change the USA, I am perfectly correct in stating that group are traitors to the USA.
I will not be silenced by the PC police for attempting to protect the brilliance of the founders from any group who love Marx more than they love this country.
The only group I know of, in this country, which consistently votes for socialism, communism, Marxism at a higher percentage would be Blacks so are we not allowed to challenge them for their turning their backs on the founders?
Sorry, at this point in time is no time to worry about the perpetually offended crowd who continue to push this country towards communism.
Strange so many alleged conservatives defend those who plot against us in such great numbers.
No wonder we have such difficulty winning in the arena of ideas when we have so many who will defend those working against the country simply because they may be a member of that group.
I love the USA, I marvel at the brilliance of the founders and any group which demonstrates via a provable high percentage attack on those beliefs are, IMO, traitors. If that offends the perpetual offended among us too bad,
If what my Jewish friends and family are telling me is true (and I think it is), you are correct.
My brother-in-law has probably never voted for a Republican in his life. He would never admit it to a pollster or anyone else, if he did. But my sister confided (to my mother, who told me) that they are both going to vote for Romney because the thought of a second Obama term scares the hell out of them. And my mom is certainly voting for Romney, as will her entire circle of friends (mostly Jewish), many of whom will be voting for a Republican either for the first time, or for the first time since Reagan.
There is no "plot" by Jews as a group against the United States or the brilliance of the founding fathers. And even if hypothetically no Jews at all had voted for Obama in 2008, he unfortunately would still be President today. That's because voters other than Jews also stupidly voted in a majority for Obama, and there are too few Jewish voters in the electorate as a whole to have made the difference.
So get off your group think and think of individuals as the basic unit of the political structure, which is fundamental to the conservative viewpoint. That's the way the brilliance of the founders envisioned it.
He did the same thing in 2008.
