This guy is a fool. If he makes statements based on false things he read in the past he is a ticking time bomb and who knows what he will say in the future.
This guy will be late night fodder and will be associated with the entire GOP each time it happens.
There was a research paper published back in 1999 (I think) that did say exactly what Akin said, so he thought he was giving correct information. Turns out the study was wrong, but he didn’t know that.
I do think it’s an uproar over nothing, but it’s a very damaging situation. I don’t know if he can survive it, but I understand why he wants to try.
