In all truth the man is poorly informed and way out of date. One could excuse poor choice of “legitimate” (by which meant legally established as statutory rape), but the “automatic” rejection of impregnation is just not established science. The problem is not the BASE he has— it’s the loss of potential fiscal conservatives social liberals votes, who will have a problem with this lack of understanding .

I really don’t think that any conservative women or rino women for that matter will not vote or vote for Obama just because of this man’s big mouth though. I really don’t think it is going to move the needle that much...especially if we just ignore the whole thing and make sure the rest of our candidates are prepared to answer the Akin question and pivot it right back to the dems. Like why do dems protect the rapists at Planned Parenthood? Etc.etc.

Scott Brown is not a shoe-in, despite running against that lying Faux-Cahontas, Elizabeth Warren. The polls are close, and the Democrats are (as usual) engaging in questionable tactics.

I am concerned about the whole shooting match too. We have to win the senate, the presidency and keep the house if we are going to save this country from Marxist destruction!

Remember, rank and file Democrats don't like to pay taxes any more than Republicans. Can somebody shut Hannity up on this issue? Then maybe he can talk about sex on the air again without people giggling!
You credit McCaskill with entirely too much. Did you know nobody in that family has had a real job in three generations? They remind me quite a bit of the Kallikak family. You can look them up.
Under Priebus the RNC has become totally devoid of leadership capacity. I warned everybody this would happen back when we were choosing a new chairman ~ this guy is too provincial for the position.
The party, in general, seems to recoil from that so we have faux 'winners' who can barely attract 20% of the Republican base and we leave them in place to waste all our time and money because no one has the sense to remove them.
I say kick Akin out, and there are some others I could name that need to be kicked out for the same reason.
In politics the only thing that counts is WINNING.
WOW, Akin was flat-out terrible during the interview. I wanted to be sympathetic towards him, but he came across as delusional, rambling and genuinely unable to put a coherent thought together. He was like Biden, but without personality. He is completely unlikeable and a stark raving moron.
The fact he kept citing the highly skewed PPP pole results was scary. What a f***ing dumbass....
Just as an aside... you used the word "legit", short for legitimate, which was another part of this debacle. Even if it has a meaning of "legally established or accepted" it has a common usage meaning of being "OK" or "on the up and up". And this wordplay will form the basis of relentless soundbiting of this killer word use. In the case of the medical study you cite... it has never proven to be "legit", as in used in court or a legally precedent setting basis.
