“Looks like Akin is staying in, might as well start exploring other options.”

How about supporting Rep. Akin? After all, he is pro-life, genuinely conservative, and a far sight better than Claire McCaskill. Also, he won the primary!

It’s not just that he’s going to lose; he’s going to drag other candidates down with him.

The various GOP candidates need an “out” that let’s them get back on message. Getting a solid Conservative, one who isn’t an undisciplined loose cannon, to announce as a write in gives them someone else to publicly endorse and even throw money at in a substance over symbolism way.

I agree. Ram this right down the throats of the democrats. I am tired of having our guys walk on eggshells trying not to offend people. This is pure Alinsky. They are beating us will our own virtue. It is a war we cannot win.

Time to change the rules of political combat. We need a collective show of “I don’t give a crap” to the democrats on this one. The more we do this, the more it weakens one of their most powerful weapons. I wished Cain would have done that.

Even if Akin turns out to be a complete dud, he is still better than a democrat. It’s time for offense not defense.
