So why didn’t he state like you did instead of using some bad science and making stupid statement.

"So why didnt he state like you did instead of using some bad science and making stupid statement. "I agree. I'm waiting for some Republican leader to say it.

Hopefully the democrats will not pull their financial support for him.Where is the evidence that they are providing financial support for him? Or perhaps you just like to make unfounded charges? (Seems to me that's a particularly favorite tactic of the left.)

McCaskill and the DSCC were terrified that the GOP would easily replace this guy due to his timely withdrawal - in fact, they were furious that his gaffe leaked prematurely. Instead, this selfish SOB has them uncorking champagne bottles in DC.

I saw on another thread that Democrats pumped a pile of cash into his campaign.I saw that same claim and asked for evidence. None has been provided. Seems like someone just likes to make unfounded claims against those they hate, then refuse to back them up.

If he stays on the ballot, we will hear nothing but "war on women" from the Rats and their Soros-funded allies.Any candidate who holds the slightest bit of a pro-life stance is going to generate that kind of rhetoric from the left.

If he had simply said that life starts at conception and that children that are the result of rape are deserving of life, this whole fiasco wouldn’t have occurred. Maybe there would have been a blip at the state level, that would be it. No, he had to try and dodge the issue in the most inept possible way. And his attempts to clarify through interviews or online have been even worse.

I have a friend, lifelong resident of the St Louis area told me yesterday there was a huge crossover vote for him. The dems wanted him as their opponent.

Hell be down in the polls by 10 in 2 weeks He's already down by 10. The PPP poll showing he's +1 oversampled Republicans by 9. If you correct for that with either equal turnout or recent past turnout, he's down by 7-10 points.
NRSC only has limited funds, McCaskill was easy pickings and now she's a shoe-in for reelection. They now need that money to put into tighter races elsewhere and hope the Akin taint doesn't spread like a cancer across the GOP races.

I admire their principle - think I'll go with that same kind of reasoning.
If Akin drops out then I won't vote for the Republican that replaces him.

Agreed, but candidates must be able to articulately defend the pro-life cause. Akin is unable to do so, and thus harms the pro-life movement, and more generally harms conservatism nationwide.
Mr. Akin, do the country a favor: quit!

LOL. Good luck with that when Akin is down 10-15 points in the polls and he comes out saying something equally as stupid or even moreso.
Obama Claire hasn’t even started campaigning against this guy yet, she’s sat back, played the role of supportive, honorable opponent and allowed him to take himself out of the campaign single-handedly.

Any major media source? "Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) spent $2 million on ads in the GOP primary and got what she wanted: conservative Rep. Todd Akin as her opponent. Now that he's damaged goods, so much the better."

Yes, the Dems and Claire ran anti-Akin ads (and anti-Brunner and anti-Steelman ads). That's completely different from claiming they ran ads FOR Akin or gave money to his campaign, which is what has been implied or outright stated by some here on FR.
Oh, but maybe they just used the wrong words. . .kind of like saying "legitimate rape".
