I had heard rumors of a Top Gun sequel, with Tom Cruise as a supporting actor. I wonder if that’s permanently buried now.

Obviously he was depressed and believed there was no remedy. God bless him. What struck me was that he chose a method of suicide that was as spectacular as some of his movies. “Top Gun” went a long way to encourage patriotism and legitimize the military to young audiences.

More irresponsible journalism from ABC. Has Brian Ross looked into a Tea Party angle?

Saw that on the news last night, Cruise was supposed to have been at a Air Force base doing prep for the sequel. I am thinking that is not going to happen now.

This presupposes the wife knew the state of her husband's health and that unnamed sources saying what she supposedly said are accurate.

we're told Scott's wife says Tony did not have any other severe medical issues that would have caused him to take his own life.

Because depression isn't a severe medical issue? That a silly statement.

ABC may or may not have been correct. Well, it *is* ABC...

I had heard that supposedly a year or two ago, he started scouting out places to jump from, this was a long time coming.

Like scouting locations for his last “production”? It’s strange (or maybe not so strange) that suicides so often reflect the identity or the career of their authors. Like anesthesiologists that more or less “put themselves to sleep”. I know of cases where that has happened.

Maybe he did not have brain cancer but he certainly had a mental problem and one thing is for sure, he could not fly.

I don’t know about Brian Ross, but some liberals immediately pointed out that this man was supposedly working on a movie that debunked and/or challenged Bill O’Reilly’s Abraham Lincoln book.

The conspiracy theories took about the same amount of time to appear as they did with Breitbart’s death.

Some people don't believe in a spiritual dimension of existence that interacts with humans, but that is a mistake. If that is the reader of this, sorry. Hollywierd has fully committed to the dark side. It's downright dangerous for people interacting with that now.

I agree with you. I believe demons are fallen angels. I believe they try to confuse and trick humans. I believe Hollywood is our Sodom. I believe video is a powerful programming tool.

Last week, two (possibly three) men from my small community fell for the lie that life is not worth living. I will never understand how a man reaches that conclusion.

Maybe he thought Obama was going to be reelected?

I rather think he had some personal skeletons and was struggling between he himself making them known, or.........

And, “apparent sucicide” or not, a good police investigation would be trying hard to see if it’s possible to identify anyone who might have been with him at the time. And if so, did he have an “accomplice” or did he have “an antongonist”. Was it all intentional, or was it accidental.

I always believe there are more to these things, particularly in Hollyweird, than merely what all the early reports reveal.

How many years has it been and the official story of Natalie Wood’s death is still not to be believed? Answer - 31.

I find this very hard to believe. Sorry.

My GF is a CRNA anesthesiologists. They are watched like a hawk as with the gases they use and there is multiple sign off's by various people and the operating rooms are pretty much locked down when no one is in there and when they do open up, there are multiple people going in and out preparing the room.

We'll never know the real reason. The only thing that can be said here with any certainty is that he didn't just get up that morning and decide it was a good day to jump off a bridge. Something was really bothering him and had been for a long time. In all honesty, it should be left at that. The real reason needs to stay with his loved ones.

I heard on the radio this morning (live in So. Cal) that there were more than a couple people whom were on boats below near the Bridge and videoed the sad event with cell phones. What is really sick is that the rumor is the videos haven't surfaced as they are being shopped around to the highest bidder.

Sadly, I’m not surprised. TMZ will probably be the highest bidder. Some exits on the information superhighway lead to really bad neighborhoods :(

“The real reason needs to stay with his loved ones.”

You’re right, morally, in the case of suicide, public figure or not.

Unfortunately, that’s not the way of the world, when it comes to public figures. “Fame” - public recognition, works both ways - public interest.

trust me it's easy to pick up this or that laying around an OR, ICU or ER. Some left over Etomidate, a little Pavulon or Succinylcholine or Roc. Saw a resident that backed into a bank and parked over the weekend and used Fentanyl, Regular Insulin and Succinylcholine. It's sad, but I don't think that they'd use "gasses" but the induction medications.

Then again some just jump off of buildings.... or bridges.
