His rate was at 31% BECAUSE OF THE WAR! PERIOD! Nobody cared about the economy. Everybody wanted out of Iraq and Afghanistan! Nice revision of history. I rarely use this word (and until now I never had to use it in FR) but you're spewing pure propaganda now.
We did not lose in 2006 because of the War On Terror (Iraq/Afghanistan).

HAHAHA.. Funny... I know you have absolutely zero interest in logic or the truth, but here you go anyway: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popular_opinion_in_the_United_States_on_the_invasion_of_Iraq
September 2004
A CBS poll showed that 54% of Americans believed the Iraq invasion was the right thing to do, up from 45% in July in the same poll.
July 2006
A CBS/New York Times poll was conducted from 2125 July 2006. 1,127 adults were polled nationwide, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3%. Thirty percent of those polled said the invasion of Iraq was worth the American casualties and other costs, while 63% said the war was not worth it. Six percent was unsure. 32% said they approved of the way George W. Bush was handling the situation in Iraq, 62% disapproved, with six percent unsure.

The party in power had an approval rating in the low 30%’s, we had an unpopular war, and you want to blame our defeat on Mark Foley?!
