Some number of the 217K that voted for Akin in the Primary were Democrats. The vast majority of course were conservative Republicans. No way they will ever vote for Ma. They may, unfortunately not vote for the Republican nominee. But most will come to the final realization, they MUST get Ma the hell out of Washington!

I was a Steelman voter/$upporter. But clearly planned on voting for the winner on Aug.7. And I will still vote for Akin come Nov. Most will, simply because Republicans (true ones) totally detest Ma McCaskill.

If she gets back in? Say hello to higher taxes, gun bans, and of course Obi-care.

Not to pound on Akin, but I watched his attempt at handling this thing. He seemed disjointed. Confused. He reminds me of a boxer who just took a punch from Mike Tyson. Of course some recovered from that experience. Others did not. Can we risk it? We all better hope what comes out of today's Pow Wow is the right decision...

Re the Democrats voting for him: How do you know that? This is all conspiracy nonsense. The Democrats had their own primary races, some of them high profile. If you force out Akin and a small group of GOP establishment pols decide who the nominee will be nullifying the primary results, there will be a reaction and it won't help the GOP.
