He has lost 10 million dollars from the moneychangers in Washington. He might be a great conservative, but if him staying costs the seat that would have decided Obamacare, history will not remember he was a great conservative.
There is no assurance whatsoever that his leaving the race will mean victory for the Reps in November. And he could conceivably win. The GOP Establishment threw him under the bus immediately including cutting off all funding for his campaign. Doesn't a sitting Congressman who has committed no crime or indiscretion deserve better than being publicly humiliated by his own party? Can anyone imagine the Dems doing that to one of their own?
