Akin is pretty much Dead Man Walking - politically.

Says who???

If winning this seat means that “elitists” could pick the replacement candidate, then so be it.

Oh really??? and just how would you react in the voting booth if the electoral process was cast aside and you were force fed an elitist choice??? Missouri voters might just stay home and give you all Obama and McCaskill.

Akin was legally elected by the voters and nothing he did was illegal or immoral. As a matter of fact on radio program today 80% of the callers were vehement supporters of his gaffe and all.

McCaskill’s polling numbers are so bad it’s more than likely that anyone who replaces Akin will beat her in N ovember.

So then why are all the cats wailing out there that the GOP is going to lose the seat??? The GOP is just angry that he who is a dependable conservative and not someone more moderate and beholden to the elitists is going to win the seat.

The seat is what is important. At any other time, I might agree with you that “yeah, the libs stand by their own, We should too!”, but there has NEVER been a more important time. Obama is destroying this country and Clair McRatSkull is helping him. Now, maybe Akin can still win on the hyper-partisanship alone (as the latest polls indicate he isn’t falling behind), but is it worth the risk at this stage in the game? Sometimes, people have to take one for the team. I wish Akin hadn’t said this, but if he stays in, McCatSkull rises from the dead and may win. Is that a risk we can take knowing what is at stake?

Uncle Chip, rarely have I read such a pile of you know what as in your Post #110.

The polling out of Missouri has already shown a decline in Akin’s numbers.

As much as you go on and on about the elitist’s “choice”, you really have no clue as to who will be chosen - that is, if Akin gets out. You act like they’re gonna choose Lincoln Chaffee or Olympia Snowe to be the nominee. Give it a rest until you know for sure.

As for your last comment, your paranoia (or ignorance) is showing. The so-called “moderates” and elitists” didn’t do this to Todd Akin. He did it to himself. You act like there was some cabal of conspiracists who had this set up all along because GASP, they couldn’t tolerate a conservative. If Akin had kept his mouth shut, there wouldn’t have been a problem.
