Although this is a distraction we don’t need right now, it looks like McCaskill outsmarted herself. She worked to get the weakest opponent for herself - she just didn’t realize he would blow himself out of the race in time for someone stronger to take his place.

As Ann Coulter points out (picutes, please), this was a completely unforced and stupid gaffe from soemone who ought to know better. It’s true that a liberal Democrat wouldn’t be condemned like this, but why did Akin have to do it at all? If he stays in the race, there will likely be other such stumbles. Word on the block is that Akin will be dropping out tomorrow.

http://www.humanevents.com/2012/08/20/what-happens-if-akin-leaves-the-race/

A lot of prominent Republicans are calling on him to drop out, and he probably will. Ann Coulter correctly points out that Sarah Steelman would be a good choice who would take the gender issue off the table. IMHO, other good choices include ex-Senator Jim Talent and state Auditor Tom Schwich. Other oossible replacement candidates include ex-Senator John Ashcroft (not a good idea, IMHO) and businessman John Brunner.

She’s right but I bet Akins stays in.

I agree with Coulter. Even if there is some likelihood that Akin could survive, there is way too much at stake to take any chances. Get out now, buddy.

If Anne loved America she’d be asking a whole crapload of RINOs to step down but its apparently more important to her that the inside the beltway crowd likes her.

Can’t believe how stupid politicians can be. They get in front of a microphone and do not have enough sense to shut the - - - k up. Have to babble on just to tallk.

Hopefully there are means to force this imbecile to get out of the race. If he continues with his stupidity he could cause a lot more damage than he has already.

At this point he only has democrats wanting him to continue being a moron.

Ann Coulter is an idiot. Akin needs to double down on the side of life and stand on his principles.

It is not legal to kill the rapist, but it is legal to murder the baby.

Something is seriously broke.

This is the same Ann Coulter that helped give us Romney as the GOP candidate. She is hardly a moral authority on right and wrong. She most certainly is a poor judge of character.

Let the people of Missouri deal with this. It is a State issue. Most her on FR scream about “States Rights.” Well here is a good case for you. The PEOPLE of the state need to decide....that cowardly pols throughout the country.

If Ann Coulter loves her country she’ll keep her “somebody please look at me/attention grabbing” opinions to herself.

While campaigning for the pro-abortion Romney, Ann takes a break to kick around the pro-life Akin. What is the world coming to?

If Coulter loved the country, she never would have endorsed Romney before the primaries began.

The Democrats spent a lot making sure that Akin won the primary, and the Democrats prefer a rigged game. So how much was Akin offered to take a fall? The assumption that Akin is merely stupid doesn't wash: he was clever enough to get elected to Congress 6 times.

Coulter and Hannity can’t stand for LIFE. Neither can the GOP’s Romney. Might as well come out of the abortion closet and put in a “Choice” plank at the Convention.

This guy said exactly what he had to say. The Baby shouldn’t be killed, but the rapist should be punished.

One thousand dead babies a day. Is that the price the GOP will pay to win this race?
