Neither Akin nor anyone defending him here said there was. He simply used one word in a confusing way, the kind of vague word that anyone can easily make a misstatement with. The idea that he was making excuses for men who rape women is so utterly and totally ludicrous that it is beyond laughable. I would have been surprised if a radical Code Pink feminist came out with such an accusation, let alone someone on a conservative site. That kind of goofy accusation just makes me want to defend Akin more. This is an absolute hysterical, irrational witchhunt going on that he doesn't deserve in the slightest.
You need not worry, Todd Akin will not be a senator. His career in elected office is over.
