I disagree with this. If he leaves tomorrow, the impact from this becomes minimal. If he sticks around, the issue would be brought up constantly, over and over all the way to November. If he’s gone, the left will still try that same line of attack, but it will fall flat on its face.
Additionally, Republicans will be able to say “see, when our own screw up and act like total bufoons, we get rid of them, not hide them away like you do with crazy uncle Biden.”
