No it does not. The 45, which I also qualified on, was actually a Model M1911 45 caliber pistol. It used a .45 acp (Automatic Colt Pistol) round. This is a specific weapon and round. A pistol can be an automatic, semi-automatic, revolver or single shot.

So post a link to that full-auto Colt pistol that the Automatic Colt Pistol (ACP)round chambered in. If you can't why didn't Colt call it the .45 Semi-Automatic Colt Pistol(SACP)?

Never said there was a full auto 45 by Colt. The M1911 is a autoloading pistol, it is not a automatic pistol. An automatic pistol would allow you to pull the trigger and it would fire until it was out of ammo or until you released the trigger.
