....“They are bleeding the country dry,”.....

Looks like that Chavez Hopey Changey thing is working out really well for them. The people of Venezuela did not need the Cubans to run their ports before good ole Hugu came along, now did they? I estimate that after only two years of a Romney/Ryan administration that we will see a counter revolution in Venezuela. As evidenced by this article, the majority people there remember how it used to be.

Dictatorships are always corrupt, after all they are modeled feudal/warlord systems of the past.

“The economic reality of all Venezuelans depends on the good management of the port, but imported goods are incurring in enormous delays that create scarcity and increase costs that end up transferred to the consumer,”..

Lord, and it was bad 37 years ago when I lived there! You had to bribe the port officials to get a private automobile released from customs unless you were affiliated with the Embassy. Friends of mine refused to do so and their gorgeous Pontiac Trans Am sat on the dock and rusted during the 3 years they were there. It was inoperable by the time they left.

What a gorgeous country to be so poorly served by its leadership. Of course, with Chavez in charge, they should rename the whole place Carabobo (clown face).
