And nobody is paying attention to his position on abortion but instead or wondering why he doesn’t think that ‘normal rape’can lead to pregnancy. People are not concentrating on the massive dollar amount of student loans out there but are instead wondering how anyone can call student loans a cancer. They don’t question why the federal government is involved in education but wonder how any rational person can advocate robbing hungry needy children of a nutritious - but subsidized - school lunch. The good in the Aikins message is drowned out by the bone-headed comments they are wrapped around.

He misused ONE WORD, "legitimate." Keep in mind we nominated a guy who said he "enjoys being able to fire people." You're absolutely right that the liberal media tries to drown out our messages with other little side issues. Just as someone else in the thread said that we should be talking about the 98% of abortions done for birth control, not the special cases the media brings up. Dealing with the media spin is a whole 'nother issue aside from this. We don't need to "give" the liberals material to spin the issue their way, they'll do it any way they can.

This man didn't come out with a position of any sort that we disagree with, he simply made a gaffe of one word. That is simply not enough to fire someone over. It could happen to anybody and our esteemed presidential candidate has done far worse than this already.
