That’s a good point you make about what’s the effect of artificially introducing or increasing a species population in a specified area.
Of course, I was just being flip about the Jaguars and their potential role in deterring illegal immigration. This proposal has another purpose entirely and smells of a liberal/corrupt business land grab as others have alluded.
I do think most people who come here illegally just want a better life; but we, as a sovereign nation, have the right to control who comes in and who stays out. This is one of the most important functions of the Federal Government and it does this job very poorly. Instead the Federal Goverment, and to a lesser extent many of the State governments, do corrupt stuff like land grabs using Imminent Domain or by declaring them parks or endangered habitats. These officials must be reminded that there are consequences at the ballot box and must be forced to do the right thing.
